Christmas Eve

Well folks, it`s Christmas eve and here I am updating the blog, some of you might say how sad and i`m perhaps starting to agree with you. This year is truly credit crunch xmas . I`ve not had the usual round of parties or a ball so my gown has remained firmly in the closet. I`m not even having turkey as my nearly new b/f doesn`t eat meat. I use the abbreviation b/f as I don`t want to say the word out too loud and tempt fate!!!!!. Just in case you`re now feeling sorry for me I did manage to sneak a glass of champagne or two yesterday at Westfield Shopping centre. Experience plus a headache and lots of credit card receipts now tells me that champagne and lots of shops don`t mix!!!

Anyway, must dash as my prince awaits me!!! But, before I go merry xmas and a fab new year to you all. May 2009 bring you all the joys you wish for and perhaps your very own prince or princess if you`re single

35plus blog goes live

I started this group just over a year ago as being over a certain age I realised time was running out for me to do all those impossible things that grown ups do. I`d promised myself the following:-
  1. Go trekking in Nepal before I was 50 (mmm fast approaching but havent managed this one yet)
  2. Eat at all the Michelin Stared resturant in the UK (i`m well on the way, but as the government is worried about the growing levels of obesity I will need to slow down considerably)
  3. Take up flying lessons (i`m waiting for someone to offer!!!)
  4. Find some new best friends (will need to improve my communication and social skills)
  5. Hug more trees (trees are now giving me strange looks as I approach them)
  6. Do more charitable work (Achieved, yes, I did a midnight charity walk for St Lukes Hospice earlier in the year)
  7. Be a good neighbour (It`s far too cold to go knocking on peoples doors)
  8. Set up a support group for shopaholics (i`d have to be first in the queue!!!, but then I don`t want to be cured)
  9. Stop making New Year Promises (Well, its not New year yet)
  10. Be happy (i`ve definately achieved this one).

So as 2009 approaches what`s your top 10. My suggestion for number 1 is .

I will attend more 35 plus events!!!
