Oh What A Night

We had a fab time last night at our organised wine tasting at the Punch Tavern. We started off as you can imagine quite sober, but after tasting 8 Italian wines our sobriety didn't last for very long.We had so much fun we're going to do it all again on June 9th.
We suggested Spanish wines fr the next meeting, but we'll see .

Everything changes but you

Well I`s bank holiday weekend and it looks as if we are in for glorious sunshine. Now as i`ve been doing my training to be an executive coach i`m adopting new principles. This goes along the lines of it is better to adopt a positive outlook and on this basis i`m going to believe the weather forecast that its going to be a warm weekend. To change the subject a bit and attempt to link this post with the headline i`m going to talk about some positive changes to 35plus, after all we experience them every moment of our waking day, to keep to the theme of positive attitude we are getting wiser with our I won`t call them wrinkles, they are experience lines!!! and 35 is becoming more experienced, so to help our fans who might not want to join our social group but still want to experience the events we have added a paypal pay now button. This is very easy to find . Its the very small button below the great big red sign!!!!!

The Departed (FORTH COMING EVENT)

We spend so much time with the living I thought it was time to devote a few hours to the dearly departed particularly those of the more famous variety . On this note I decided May 17th was a good day to invite fellow 35ers to spend some time with Sir Marc Isambard Brunel and Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the mathematician Charles Babbage, and the novelists Wilkie Collins, Anthony Trollope and William Makepeace Thackeray; Lord Byron's wife, Oscar Wilde's mother, Charles Dickens' in-laws and Winston Churchill's daughter. If this wasn`t enough I added in a cross-dressing Army doctor and the surgeon who attended Nelson at Trafalgar; the creator of Pears' Soap, and the original WH Smith . Finally, I decided the the last man to fight a duel in England could also do with some company. I`m sure the winner of this duel retired to a tavern shortly afterwards and in that vein William iV will calls after spending time in such robust company.

EVENT FEE: £3 , pay via paypal opposite page or visit website
£5 donation on the day payable directly to friends of kensal green for the tour

Oh what a film

Me and a group of meetup pals went to the very affordable Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square for an early showing of the film the wrestler tonight. OMG, Mickey, so deserved an oscar for what can only be described as the performance of his life. I won`t spoil the plot in case you are waiting to see it on DVD, lets us say the end left the more romantically inclined amongst us hopeful and the more pessimistic convinced they knew the outcome. Would I recommend, absolutely...... think i`m in love with Mickey!!!!

In search of the one!!!

We have an exciting new event coming up on 24th April that is an absolute must whether you`re
Male/Female, single, in a long term relationship or married this event is a do not miss. The event will give everyone a chance to have a discussion to try and gain an insight into how the opposite sex thinks in a fun light hearted way . This is how its going to work.

We`ll get to the cool venue "Jacks Lounge, 96 Isebella Street , Southwark between 6.30- 7PM - . There`ll be lots of chances to mingle while the fab hosts gives everyone a topic of conversation. It shouldn`t be too hard as everyone will be in a group of 4-6 people . Its a great opportunity to let men and women hear each others opinions and clear up common misconceptions. . The three exciting topics for discussion are :-

Money & Dating- Who should pay on the first date, Is it outdated to expect a guy to pay or should everyone go halves?
Sex and Double Standards :- Is the double standard alive and well and how long should you wait before sleeping with someone, Should you or would you discuss your sexual history with your new man/woman
Staying Faithful :- Are we capable of monogamy and should we expect our partners to be faithful, is marriage alive and well or is it an outdated concept? There will be feedback at the end so we all get to share and learn .

Time Just Flies

As the old saying goes "time just flies when you`re having fun" that is certainly true in my case, January came and went, February followed a similar fashion, March where did that go?. I did manage to cram in a trip to the West Indies, Spain, Prague in that time though. I also crammed in several meet up events and if all have you have been very good you have also noticed Tammi is now on board and being extremely active in hosting lots of new events too. She has managed to travel to one of our favorite cities in the world New York. Well that`s not strictly true, she didn`t exactly go to America instead it was the flavour of...... Brunch in Harlem ... which from the feedback was a resounding success. So if how is the new year resolution to do more going? Have you been to one of our events yet?

If your life was in a book what category would it be under?

The new year is always a time for introspection allowing us to look back over the events of the  previous years . For some, this is with excitement and gratitude that so many things have gone well, with others its a time for regret about the might have been and for others things have stayed the same. However, whatever the circumstances the beginning of a new year provides us with a new opportunity  to write our own page and decide what category our life will feature in.
